Firm Focus & Administration

by | Jul 18, 2024 | FirmAdministration

Several times a year, we pause all client work to focus on the firm. The most intense times of Firm Focus & Administration are generally between April 15th and April 30th and again between October 15th and October 30th.

We pause client work and focus on Crayon Advisory, LLC so we can provide you with higher quality services.

During Firm Focus and Administration times, we’re:

  • Looking at what went well and what didn’t and how we can improve;
  • Considering our tools and systems, how they interact, and what needs to change:
    • Are the tools we’re using effective?
    • Should I look at or dive into new and different tools?
    • Are the processes we rely on functioning? Are they taking advantage of the tools we have available?
    • How does the entire system fit together?
  • Resting – it’s an act of resistance and something we don’t get enough of inside of filing seasons.

While this focus on the firm is for Crayon Advisory, LLC, the questiont hat’s in front of everything is: how is this further helping or supporting our clients (that’s you!) and their needs?

While we pause client work a couple of times a year, we do work on activities and projects not related to clients throughout the year, especially outside of filing seasons. You can read more about this over here where review our Piroritized First in, First work priority system.

This is all part of a business and is something we appreciate your patience on while we do the things behind the scenes so we can be great when we step out on stage.

This post is here to give you a little bit of insight into how and when we pause client work and focus on the firm and administration.
