Where do those taxes get paid!?
Making Tax Payments
Your tax return is done, and now it’s time to make tax payments. But where? How? We’ve got you covered.
With every deliverable, we prepare a Deliver Letter that is customized to you and your needs. Among other information, it includes a table with your tax payments to make. You’ll need to download and save it to your system to click on the links in the delivery letter.
We know a PDF isn’t always the best place to find that information though. To the right, you’ll find a few details about each tax return and the related agency our clients are likely to need to make payments to.
Federal Payments
IRS Direct Payment – make a pyament directly.
IRS Online Account (Individuals) – login to your account, make payments, and see other information.
IRS Online Account (Businesses) – login to your account, make payments (often not necessary for Partnerships & S-Corporations), and see other information.
The Details
The IRS has a few different links available for making your tax payments. Your Delivery Letter includes a link to Direct Pay – where you don’t need to login to your account to make your payment.
When paying your taxes, be sure to select the correct tax year. If you’re paying estimated taxes, you should also select the quarter you’re making payments for.
Payment Awareness
If you’re paying payroll taxes, there’s a little different process and place to go.
If you’re paying taxes for a joint tax return (i.e. you’re filing married filing jointly), make sure payments are made using the primary tax payer’s name and taxpayer ID. That’s the first name on the tax return.
Oregon Payments
Oregon’s Revenue Online serves all of their needs. We cannot provide a link directly to making payments.
You have two options to make payments to Oregon:
